(2015) Deixis in the early modern English lyric, Basingstoke, Palgrave Macmillan.
Installation art provides intriguing parallels to deixis, especially in the relationship of "here" /"there" and issues connected with agency. A series of test cases that include periods and genres other than early modern lyric establishes characteristics of deixis that the book will explore in more detail. The chapter also establishes certain concepts for that exploration, such as convergers and the colonesque, and it borrows the theory of terroir from the study of wine.
