Introduction

Cyril Hovorun

pp. 1-28

The goal of this book is to demonstrate that the collective perception of what the church is by its members has changed over the history of Christianity. The subject of this book is not so much the church, as such, as the evolution of the church's awareness of itself—what can be called meta-ecclesiology.
